It's been a while since I've worked with video but converting a QT video to FLV format isn't exactly complicated. Since Flash 8 there's been a Flash Video encoder bundled with the software. It's simple and easy to use- within it you can alter video size, quality, set cue points, crop... It's an easy to use app that exports significantly smaller video files that are cleaner and load faster.
The original video was 1.2g after I encoded in FLV (and reduced the size) it spit out a 20mb file, which is a little easier to stomach. Another benefit of flash is the really smooth way in which control appear when you mouse over the video. It's the way to deliver video on the web.
